UW Husky Band Bus Flips Headed to Apple Cup
The members are obviously shaken up after the accident, but luckily we are hearing that there are no major injuries. Paramedics are on the scene treating those who need medical attention.
Here's the first photo out from the accident:
Just learned from a friend the bus taking the UW band to Pullman flipped just east of Ellensburg... sounds like a handful of people being evaluated by paramedics on scene — praying for the Husky family right now pic.twitter.com/gadSDm9sJO— Zanders (@Zach_Anders) November 23, 2018
Some members have taken to twitter to let their friends and family know they are okay.
Update: a bus flipped over. I’m okay and unharmed. Please send your best wishes and prayers to the Husky Marching Band— Scott Thomas (@_stjunior_) November 23, 2018
#Update: Again, No Serious Injuries. About 20-25 student (UW Band Members) transported to local hospitals as a precaution. The other students & staff were sent on the other charter buses to George Elementary school. They will also be checked out by medics. 56 total on the bus. pic.twitter.com/bTOtFcCo4U— Trooper John Bryant (@wspd6pio) November 23, 2018
The band is also in need of food to be taken to George Elementary in Moses, WA. If you have leftover Thanksgiving dinner and live in the area please consider helping out.
Please keep them in your thoughts tonight. We will continue to update this story as we learn more details.
